Formed in 2025, the Old Street Quartet brings together four close friends with a shared musical lineage and a passion for exploration. Tadasuke, Adrián and Caleb all studied at different times with the renowned pedagogue Rivka Golani, and are joined by cellist Chris — a former student of Raphael Wallfisch — giving the group a distinctive blend of virtuosity, depth, and curiosity. The quartet takes its name from Old Street, where they rehearse at Central Foundation Boys’ School, home to a thriving strings department led by Caleb. Like the string quartet genre itself, the ensemble balances genuine friendship with serious musical ambition, pursuing imaginative performances and creative projects across London and beyond.
